Job & Person Specification / Job Description
A Job and Person Specification will assist prospective candidates to assess their suitability to apply for a position. It will also assist our Clients to ‘fine tune’ their own requirements with more precision and reduce the number of applications received which may not be relevant to the vacancy.
Our Career Partners consultant can meet with you to discuss your requirements and will clarify this description in writing.
Career Partners will provide guidance on the most suitable advertising platforms for a specific vacancy. Our consultants are experienced with profile targeting and networking, and advertising through sources which are relevant to the position including Career One and Seek. Additionally our Consultants are experienced in writing and placing relevant advertisements by relaying key messages to attract the right applicants.
Career Partners will use their experience to peruse applications Career Partners are aware of the communication level with our Clients throughout this process, so that nothing is missed in the quest to find the right candidates for the role.
In our quest to source the right candidates for the role, Career Partners will interview those applicants who have indicated a ‘good fit’ and who meet the requirements of the job. This service may include arranged testing including psychometric testing and skills based. Our experienced Consultants will then provide a report to the Client (including reference checks) and arrange follow up interviews with the Client at an agreed time. In normal circumstances, shortlist interviews are between 3 – 4 candidates.
Career Partners will be vigorous in ensuring that reference checks are conducted and feedback provided to the clients during the recruitment process (usually prior to shortlist interviews). Reference checks will be validated and written reports will be forwarded to the Client.
Career Partners will consult with the Client following shortlist interviews and provide assistance in the final deliberations (if required). Once an appointment is decided, we are able to assist with all communication from the verbal offer to the successful candidate and feedback to those who were not placed. At times there may be more deliberation required, and we are happy to support the Client in ensuring they are making a choice which is right for them.
Career Partners would like to work with Clients and help guide them throughout the recruitment process. In doing this we take on some responsibility for making sure that Clients are satisfied with the successful Candidate and this means that we are working in partnership with the Client to identify the best applicants, although ultimately the final choice is of course with the Client. We will stay in contact with our Clients to ensure that their new employee has settled in to the role as expected for the first three months. If for any reason, this is not going as planned – Career Partners will provide some counselling and assistance in the first instance. In the event that the Client remains unsatisfied, we will work to resolve the situation. In extreme circumstances this may mean replicating the recruitment process (please refer to our Terms and Conditions of Business)
Terms and Conditions of Business
A permanent placement fee is payable when the Client employs a Candidate who has been presented to the organisation by Career Partners Plus.
Once an arrangement between a Client (organisation placing the vacancy) and Career Partners has been agreed, the Client will be asked to sign their acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. This will occur prior to proceeding with listing of a position vacancy.
A reference will be made to the services with which the Client has requested and this will be signed to ensure that both parties are clear on the service and fee payable.
A placement fee of 6% (GST incl) is payable for all candidates who accept a position with the Client. This calculation is same for permanent, contract, part-time or casual arrangements. An invoice will be issued on the day the Candidate accepts the position, and a full payment of the invoice must be paid within fourteen days from the date of invoice.
In the event that a Client does not reach a decision and feels unable to fill the vacancy, all associated costs for advertising will be met. In the event of a vacancy being withdrawn by the Client after Career Partners has presented a shortlist of qualified and suitable applicants, Career Partners reserves the right to charge a service fee of $600 for administration and advertising costs.
Any claim or dispute raised does not entitle the Client to withhold payment for the permanent placement fee of any candidate placed by Career Partners, as all placements are covered by our Guarantee and Replacement Guarantee.
Offers of Engagement to Candidates
Final offers of employment to candidates shall be made by Career Partners in agreement with the Client.
In the event that the Client believes the Candidate /s offered are not suitable, Career Partners will re-advertise; locate, interview, screen and short list a new group of candidates, for a fee of $1000.
CAREER PARTNERS Workforce guarantees its recruitment services for 3 months from the date of commencement of employment. If a replacement for the original candidate is required during this period, CAREER PARTNERS Workforce will endeavour to find a replacement free of charge provided the following conditions are met:
In the event that CAREER PARTNERS Workforce is unable to source a suitable replacement, CAREER PARTNERS Workforce will generate a Credit Note for the full amount of the invoice (to be used for any future CAREER PARTNERS Workforce Services), valid within a 12 month period from date of the Credit Note.
In the event that the Client does not appoint a replacement from a shortlist of qualified and suitable applicants referred by CAREER PARTNERS Workforce within four (4) weeks of the original candidate leaving the Client’s employ, the Client will receive a Credit Note for the full amount of the invoice (to be used for any future CAREER PARTNERS Workforce Services), valid within a 12 month period from date of the Credit Note.
In the event that Career Partners is not requested to source a suitable replacement candidate, the Client will receive a Credit Note to 50% of the full amount of the invoice (to be used for any future CAREER PARTNERS Workforce Services), valid within a 12 month period from date of the Credit Note.
Career Partners does not provide cash refunds.
All information supplied by Career Partners is confidential and must not be disclosed to any other party without the written consent of Career Partners. The Client agrees to abide by all Privacy Laws and not use any personal information provided about a candidate for any purpose other than to the extent necessary to assess the suitability of a Candidate for engagement in employment with the Client.
Career Partners professional plan includes the cost of standard internet advertising (initial placement of advertising on our Job Vacancies website, Career One and SEEK). This may include the Client logo (if requested). Career Partners will not accept costs associated with logo production or transfer.
Where it is agreed that the Client’s name, identification and logo are to be used in the advertisement, any costs associated with creating templates will be invoiced to the Client at cost for the full amount of related expenses. Advertising costs will be payable within 14 days, irrespective of the recruitment outcome.
Additional Advertising – Other Media
Advertising in other media (additional to Career Partners website, Career One and SEEK), such as industry publications and newspapers, as agreed by the Client, shall be invoiced to the Client at cost for the full amount of the cost of the advertisement expenses, any costs associated with creating templates and for the labour associated with creation of the advertising. Advertising costs will be payable within 14 days, irrespective of the recruitment outcome.
Testing and Assessments
All testing such as psychometric assessments, medical examinations, Criminal History checks and ISA entitlement verification, as agreed by the Client, shall be conducted following written consent from the both the Client and short listed candidates. Specific testing (in association with organisational requirements may be at additional cost and Career Partners will invoice the Client for the full amount of the testing, assessment and verification expenses at cost).
