WORK ESSENTIALS WORKSHOP ‘The Art of Networking’

  • Linda Symons

You don’t have to wait for a job to be advertised before talking to potential employers.

networking2

Networking is all about the old saying ‘it’s who you know, not what you know’. Developing connections can give you a short cut past advertisements every other job seeker sees.

In fact, many vacancies are filled through this ‘hidden job market’ and never make it to on-line job sites – you can gain a lot by speaking directly with industry professionals.

Session 1:

The art of networking and how does it apply to you?

Build confidence in meeting employers and attending job interviews. Back up your introduction to create a memorable winning impression and conduct a self-marketing tool kit check.

Tuesday 18 October 9.30am – 1pm

Session 2:

Networking with employers and organisational representatives

The second session is an informal afternoon tea and opportunity to meet potential employers and others to help develop your professional contact base.

Tuesday 1 November 1.30pm – 4pm

All sessions held at:

Career Workforce Development Centre,

Unit 2, 156 – 162 Sturt Road,

Warradale (right next door to Westpac Bank main entry).

Very limited places – first in, best dressed!  Contact Career Partners Plus Ph: 8326 6545 / 0447 194 350 or info@careerpartnersplus.org.au  by 15th October 2016.
